Is Cognitrell Tutoring Right for You?
We are the premier service for online tutoring in STEM AP and undergraduate courses. Our tutors have both real-world work experience and post-secondary teaching experience. We only employ tutors that have demonstrated teaching EXCELLENCE.
With each student we have three goals:

1. "Success in the course." The student improves technical understanding of the course material while lowering stress.

2. "Teach ourselves out of a job." We strive to improve students' STEM learning skills so that they are more equipped to succeed in the next course as well.

3. "Place the material in a real world context." Often it is easy to lose track of how classroom material connects to the real world applications. Explicitly making those connections improves motivation.
Does Online Tutoring Work?
YES! In fact, for many STEM problems involving diagrams, figures, and tables, online tutoring is better. Our tutors use video meetings and collaborative whiteboards to allow for an immersive experience. Furthermore, through online tutoring you can access world-class teachers from wherever you are, on a schedule that works for you.

That said, we have found that success of online tutoring depends a lot on student motivation. For motivated students, online tutoring is easier to schedule and as good or better for learning as compared to in-person tutoring. However, for unmotivated studnets, it is easier to "tune-out" an online tutor. For less motivated studnets, we recommend you seek out an in-person tutor.
